Papua New Guinea · Solar + Battery

Reliable power for Papua New Guinea.

Solar and battery systems engineered in Brisbane and delivered across PNG — cutting diesel costs, riding through blackouts and monitored remotely by ESQ engineers.

01 — Overview

Across Papua New Guinea, electricity is expensive, the grid can be unreliable, and many sites depend on diesel generation. ESQ Energy Solutions designs solar and battery systems that change that equation — for homes, businesses, resorts, factories and community facilities. Every system is engineered in Brisbane, pre-configured before freight, installed with vetted local partners and monitored remotely after handover. ESQ has already supplied a Sigenergy battery system to a customer in PNG, and we bring the same engineering discipline to every project, large or small.

02 — Capabilities

What ESQ delivers across this practice.

C-01

Diesel displacement design

Load profiling and fuel-cost modelling to size solar and storage against your generator runtime — so diesel becomes the backup, not the backbone.

C-02

Blackout-proof power

Battery systems with islanding capability keep homes and businesses running through grid outages with near-instant, automatic changeover.

C-03

Tropical-rated hardware

Outdoor-rated LFP batteries and inverters specified for PNG's heat, humidity and coastal conditions — including Sigenergy systems already proven in-country.

C-04

Freight & logistics managed

Equipment is procured, pre-configured and packed in Brisbane, with freight and customs documentation arranged through to your PNG site.

C-05

Local partner installation

ESQ works with vetted PNG electrical partners for on-site installation, with engineering supervision and remote commissioning verification.

C-06

Remote monitoring & support

Every system reports back to ESQ engineers in Brisbane — performance, alarms and state of charge — so issues are caught before they become outages.

04 — FAQs

Common technical questions.

Do you deliver and install in Papua New Guinea?
Yes. ESQ designs each system in Brisbane, procures and pre-configures the equipment, and arranges freight to PNG. Installation is completed with vetted local electrical partners under ESQ engineering supervision, and commissioning is verified remotely.
Can a solar and battery system replace my diesel generator?
For most sites, solar plus battery can carry the majority of the load and cut diesel runtime dramatically. For critical operations we typically design a hybrid system where the generator remains as backup — sized so it runs only when needed, at its most efficient loading.
What happens if the grid goes down?
Battery systems with islanding capability keep your site running through outages with near-instant transfer. Given grid reliability challenges in many parts of PNG, we design for frequent changeover as standard, not as an afterthought.
Which battery systems do you recommend for PNG conditions?
We specify tropical-rated, outdoor enclosures with proven performance in high heat and humidity. ESQ has already supplied a Sigenergy battery system to a customer in Papua New Guinea, and we support Sigenergy, Tesla, BYD and other tier-one brands depending on site requirements.
How is the system monitored and maintained from Australia?
Every system ships with remote monitoring. ESQ engineers watch performance, state of charge and alarms from Brisbane, and can diagnose most issues without a site visit. Where hands-on work is needed, we coordinate with local partners.
What size projects do you take on in PNG?
From residential and small-business systems through to commercial and industrial installations for resorts, factories, warehouses and community facilities. Send us your load profile or electricity bills and we will model the right size.
