EV Charging · OCPP 2.0.1

EV charging infrastructure for Australia's electric fleet.

AC, DC fast and ultra-fast charging — engineered for fleet depots, workplaces, councils and destination hosts.

01 — Overview

As Australia electrifies its passenger, light commercial and heavy vehicle fleets, ESQ designs and installs charging infrastructure that scales. Every project includes network-capacity analysis, smart load management, and integration with on-site solar and storage to keep operating cost — and grid demand — under control.

02 — Capabilities

What ESQ delivers across this practice.

C-01

Fleet electrification planning

Telematics-driven duty-cycle analysis to right-size charging by route, dwell time and battery state-of-charge.

C-02

Grid capacity & upgrades

Network connection studies, transformer upgrades and embedded generation applications to unlock high-power charging.

C-03

Smart load management

Dynamic charging that respects site demand limits, prioritises vehicles by SOC, and shifts load to solar generation windows.

C-04

CMS & network-agnostic

ESQ deploys hardware compatible with Chargefox, EVUp, Exploren, AmpCharge and self-hosted OCPP back-ends — you keep ownership of your data.

C-05

Solar-coupled charging

Direct-to-vehicle solar integration with optional battery buffering to flatten the network impact of DC fast charging.

C-06

Operations & uptime SLA

Remote diagnostics, parts pooling and on-site response across all Australian capitals with 98%+ uptime guarantees.

04 — FAQs

Common technical questions.

Do I need to upgrade my grid connection?
Often, no — smart load management lets multiple chargers share existing capacity. For depot-scale DC fast charging, ESQ performs the network application and any required upgrade.
Can drivers or staff pay at the charger?
Yes. ESQ deploys RFID, app-based and tap-to-pay options, with revenue routed to your nominated account or absorbed for fleet use.
Is the hardware future-proof?
ESQ deploys CCS2-standard hardware with MCS-ready provisioning for heavy vehicles, and OCPP 2.0.1 firmware so chargers can move between networks.
How does solar integration work?
Chargers throttle dynamically to prioritise solar generation. Where applicable, an optional battery buffer absorbs surplus and discharges into vehicles during low-generation hours.
