ARENA Accelerate EV Fleet

Free* EV chargers for business fleets.

ESQ Energy Solutions supplies, installs and commissions smart chargers under Origin Energy's Accelerate EV Fleet Program, co-funded by Origin Energy and ARENA — up to $4,000 per commercial site and $3,000 per driver home — when you sign to an Origin EV Business Subscription or Fleet Operational Lease for 12 months or more.

01 — Overview

The Accelerate EV Fleet Program is co-funded by Origin Energy and the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA). It subsidises smart charger hardware and installation on a 1:1 basis with every electric vehicle Origin supplies to your business — at your depot, workplace, or your drivers' homes for take-home vehicles. ESQ scopes, installs, commissions and supports the infrastructure nationally.

04 — FAQs

Common technical questions.

How does the ARENA subsidy work?
The Accelerate EV Fleet Program, co-funded by Origin and ARENA, contributes up to $4,000 toward a commercial charger installation and up to $3,000 toward a residential (take-home) installation, on a 1:1 basis with each EV Origin supplies under a Business Subscription or Fleet Operational Lease of 12+ months.
What charger is provided?
A Sungrow AC22AE-01 7/22 kW smart charger with tethered cable, or an equivalent unit determined by Origin. Chargers are OCPP-connected so smart charging data can be transmitted for reimbursement and optimisation.
What are the timing requirements?
Agreements must be signed within the current program window and each charger must be installed, connected and transmitting smart-charging data before the program deadline. ESQ will confirm current dates when we scope your project.
What happens if we exit the lease early?
A pro-rata charger cost may be applied at Origin's discretion if the subscription or lease is cancelled inside the first 12 months. Full terms are governed by the Origin 360 EV Business Subscription or Fleet Operational Lease agreement.
Do drivers get reimbursed for home charging?
Yes. When an Origin smart charger is installed at a driver's home, energy used to charge the work vehicle is metered and automatically reimbursed — removing the admin burden of take-home EV fleets.
